Hey, i am able to load the chars into the editor, and im able to "edit" them (at least with the stuff i tried). The file also gets saved correctly, but upon placing the d2s file into my save game map, booting up the game, it keeps crashing right before the character screen.
Any ideas?

yeah, few things. Don't edit old files, stackable items don't work yet, and don't edit too many items in at once, so you know which ones break the file.
i am having the same issue. I opened a save file i used last night, edited in one normal item. Saved, copied and dropped like normal, but now the game crashes on startup unless i remove the save file from the directory.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are now also a lot more files in the saved games directory than before, since the new content launch.
